Social Media Ad Designer

VirtueStaff is seeking a strategically minded Static Social Media Ad Designer on behalf of our client. In this performance-driven creative role, you will take full ownership of static ad production for paid social campaigns, allowing internal leadership to focus on high-level creative strategy. You will conduct audience and competitor research, execute visual ad concepts designed for high conversion, and analyze performance data inside Meta Ads Manager and Motion to iterate on winning creatives. This position requires a proven portfolio of direct-response social ads, a data-informed design approach, and preferred experience in e-commerce or local service sectors such as med spas, beauty, and dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Design high-converting static advertisements for paid social media campaigns across Meta and other ad channels.
• Assume full responsibility for static creative production to free team leadership for creative direction and strategy.
• Conduct social listening and competitor research to identify audience trends, visual hooks, and winning creative angles.
• Review creative performance metrics in Meta Ads Manager and Motion to analyze test results and identify top-performing themes.
• Develop visual iterations, variations, and A/B test concepts based on data insights to continuously improve campaign ROAS.
• Design clear, attention-grabbing visuals featuring strong calls to action optimized for target audience engagement.
• Produce organic social media graphics and promotional visual assets when needed to support overall brand strategy.
• Collaborate closely with creative strategists and team members while balancing high visual quality with efficient output speed.

Requirements

• Proven portfolio showcasing conversion-focused static advertisements rather than general branding or generic graphic design.
• Solid understanding of direct-response design principles, ad hooks, visual hierarchy, and call-to-action optimization.
• Experience conducting social listening, trend analysis, and competitor ad research.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret creative performance data within Meta Ads Manager or similar ad platforms.
• Hands-on experience developing A/B test variations and producing iterative ad creative based on performance metrics.
• Preferred experience designing ads for e-commerce brands or local service businesses such as med spas, dermatology, beauty, or fashion.
• Familiarity with creative analytics platforms like Motion (motionapp.com) or comparable ad intelligence tools is preferred.
• Ability to accept creative direction, adapt quickly to strategy feedback, and scale production volume efficiently.
